This Vintage Handmade Kalaga Tapestry features a very Colorful Dragon.  The word Kalaga means "foreign curtain" in deference to Burmese influence.  These Kalagas are Beautiful Wall Hangings most often depicting Historical & Buddhist Tales and Events as well as Nature.  They are traditionally created with very Complex Embroidery, Beads, Sequins & Various Other Embellishments.  Each Embroidery is backed with hand woven linen.  They can either be framed or made to hang on a dowel.  This one measures 26" X 18" & weighs 526 grams (1.2 lbs.).  Missing pieces, Color fading or other imperfections Due to Age and/or Designer Issues only enhances the character & uniqueness of this Tapestry.  From my Personal Collection.  REASONABLE OFFERS please.
