Vintage Textile, Burmese "Kalaga", Embroidered, Beads, Metallic Circa 1990

Description

The vintage Kalaga is made of cotton fabric and measures 11 x 11". The Horse in the center of the design is padded for a three dimensional effect ans is covered with sequins and metallic beads and thread. The Kalaga is handstitched and covered with gold threads and cords, a great example of craftsmanship. It is missing several beads from the circular design but it is not a distraction from the beauty of the textile. It has been in my personal collection and has strong vibrant color. Ready for framing to make a wonderful piece of wall art.
