A Vintage Kalaga Silk Threaded Thai Double Stuffed Elephant Jeweled Tapestry. "Kalaga" is the traditional name for embroidered tapestries from South East Asia. This style comes from old Asian tradition that goes back more than a century. They are generally made from silk, velvet, linen, and cotton adorned with plain and metallic threads, metal sequins, beads and glass "stones." Best hang in frame so that the details can be fully appreciated or hung as is without a frame. Figure is  stuffed and the entire piece is quite ornate. It has been backed with a brown fabric and zipper so it could be used as a pillow sham.
Size: All items shown against ruler or in hand or both to help you judge size. Measures approximately 14 by 14 inches overall.
Condition: Nice vintage condition as pictured.
Missing a few “jewels” and Sequins and shows some signs of wear, but overall displays quite nicely.
