Lovely Asian Vintage Sterling Silver Repousse Large Bowl Vessel Thailand Siam

This auction is for a gorgeous and large (590 grams / 20.8 oz) vintage or antique handmade sterling silver repousse bowl made in Thailand.  Thailand is famous for these beautiful repousse (hand hammered) bowls that are highly regarded around the world.  They are often presented as gifts for someone special and are considered wonderful works of art.
There are 6 (six) different beautiful and highly detailed repousse scenes that are distinctively different around the bowl (for a total of six vignettes) along the circumference of the bowl. The Thai figures and their juxtaposed hands, feet, and lower body shapes are different and I tried to capture these subtleties in the included pictures. There is a lovely border at the top and bottom of the bowl.
The bowl is in overall great vintage condition with expected wear. The inside and outside of the bowl are slightly tarnished and the inside base has a light stain. There are some slight surface scratches on the bowl but very difficult to see because of all the intricate details.  There are no dents and the bowl was never repaired.

The quality and beauty of the repousse work on the bowl is extraordinary and I hope you can see this in the pictures !
There can always be tiny holes in repousse caused during the hammering to create the design or caused later from use and age.  I took a very powerful LED flashlight in a dark room and discovered a few tiny holes.  The very small holes could only be detected with a powerful light and can not be seen with the naked eye. Holes were situated along the sides and NOT on the base of the bowl. Again, this is due to the nature of intricate repousse work and the age of the bowl. Please examine the photos to assess the condition for yourself. I cannot accept a return due to the presence of a few tiny holes not mentioned in the listing.  If these few tiny holes bother you, please do not bid on this item.
