    Rare, unique and beautiful temple rubbing from the 12
    th
    century World Heritage Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia, featuring the Siam Goddess. Last of remaining stock before Cambodian government prohibited temple rubbings in the late 1960's. Acquired in 1970, Phenom Phen, Cambodia. Primitive framing, yet eloquently displays the unique bas relief rubbing. Made of rice paper mache. The artwork measures approx. 22" H x 14 Wide x 3" D, while the overall frame measures approx. 27” H x 19-3/4” W x 4" D. Base color is maroon with strong gold highlights - the frame is complimentary to the artwork.
